Possibility for more players to work on 1 map

Currently, it's not possible for 2 or more players with different accounts to work on one map. This wasn't needed until now because scenarios were made pretty quickly and you couldn't add a lot of details.
With the new map system this totally changes. I planned to do a map with a couple of my friends, but it seems like working as a team on 1 map isn't possible. Some really big and detailed maps require a lot of time, knowledge and patience if you want to do it right.
Would it maybe be possible to add a password on unfinished map, so that more people can work on it? Or something similar.

We had this idea from the start, but didn't have time to implement it. Will do, hopefully soon

It would be cool if more than one person can do it at the same time. That would probably help utahrapter3 with his maps and scenarios. I could also use some assistance with my LoTR: Middle Earth.
