Should we get rid of flood control?

As the title says, I am curious if you guys think flood control should be removed. Personally, I don't think it helps at all. Those who spam the chat are always able to spam it even with flood control. However, if I am just speaking to others I will get hit with the flood control because I at times type quickly and hit enter quickly causing the flood control to appear. Anyways, I am not here to begin a debate ( I dont know how this could become a heated debate but I have been surprised how quickly one topic can become a heated discussion).

Two words. "Global Chat." The room chat flood control just needs some fixing.

I dont understand what you mean about global chat . Are you saying that it's needed for global chat but for room chat it just needs to be fixed?

I would rather have a flood control rather then people who spam advertising their game fill up all chats

I do agree the flood control should be eased by a couple miliseconds... i don 't consider myself a fast typer, but i get flood controlled.. and who doesn't like counting down 3..2..1.. in games from time to time... 4 messages in 5 seconds shouldn't be unreasonable, then after the 4th message tighten the restriction or keep the same.

Even with flood control I still see people spam the room chat with advertising for their game. I just dont see how it helps D:
