Militia to Money???

I'll need help from a premium here, as this requires someone who has used the general:

So, I'm looking through the list of general upgrades in a FAQ about generals, and there is a general upgrade that reduces the weekly cost of all units in the stack by 4.
The weekly cost of a unit is always 10% of it's original cost.
Now, militia cost 30, (we all know that), and 10% of 30 is 3 (I sure HOPE we all know that )
If the general upgrade reduces the weekly cost by 4, and militia's weekly cost is 3...... This turns out to be -1 coin per milita in the stack/per turn.

Now, here's the catcher: Assuming all the militia I own are with my general and I have that upgrade, does this mean that it will pay me 1 coin per turn for every militia I have in that stack???
If this WAS true, than it would actually be a source of income: just start buying tons of militia, and it will eventually pay itself off + give you a profit!

I think the limit is in 0, not in negative numbers besides, think of Imp militia... it would be too funny haha

Yeah, I didn't really think it could work like that, but I wasn't sure
Would be crazy for a player to hire militia for the sole purpose of having them make more money for you

U have 0 espense for militia in general stack with the cost upgrade. also i think u earn one extra income for having a general

Really? So.... You're saying you have tried it, and it works?

Just tested and my general gives no lesser troop expenses ...like the upgrade doesn't exist.

Yea man ...i tried everything, moving the general out of the stack, back in the stack, killed him and nothing ...troop expenses remained the same.

Then i thought ...hm the upgrade says "lowers the cost of mechanization" (or whatever) so i thought maybe it only applies to tanks, bombers etc. ...but nothing, a zip.

The upgrade is useless and doesn't work as i see it.

Have you even bought that certain general upgrade?

In any ways that wouldn't go -1 expense since it's 3 divided by 4.... it gives 0.75 expense you naarbs lol

The upgrade does work however AW doesn't display it correctly, the same how when you move your 1 AT around different cities and load/unload troops the finance menu shows more than 1 AT, although in the real calculation it is just 1 AT still. Also I hope Zone is joking lol.

and also, for things like militia... the maintenance cost is 1 for imp militia. In the general's stack, the 4 gc decrease only brings maintenance to 0. (not +3 as the title of the post is asking). So if you had 5 imp militia, and 5 imp infantry, your maintenance would be:
5x1 + 5x3 = 5 + 15 = 20
If you move your general to the stack, it becomes 0.

If you added a tank to that stack, it would be 5 (9 tank maintenance - 4 general upgrade = 5)... so your overall maintenance for a million imp militia, a million imp infantry and a single tank would be 5 for your general's stack.

(keeping in mind in the income tab it will be displayed incorrectly - not unlike the att/def values prior to attack not including the strategies of your units)

Idk if the translation in french is bad or anythin but it's said that " It divide by 4 the cost of the unit in the stack ". Would sound more logic ! idk

You should check that translation then... it might be a mistake from whoever translated it... wouldn't be a surprise, there are many mistakes all over lol

basically what Raul said; the upgrade just reduces weekly maintenance by 4 (meaning it subtracts 4 from the cost of whatever units are in your gen stack every turn)

Goblin, Rank 11 ---> has all available upgrades and still enough spare SP to sell some in the black market and start an NGO to donate some other at the same time.

I think the bonus get reset before being re-applied.

no goblin it works, it shows you default income like upgrade never applied to it, it's just display bug, but it works, i tested it with my turkey rush
