Border making

How do you make 2 countries that border each other have 1 border like in deafult maps where Germany and France go along the same border.. And how can you erase a country without taking away the borders, like if u wanna split France in half?

I don't know where my gif of doing portugal/spain border is.

For erasing countries just go to the country tab and delete said country.

My sources tell me it is impossible

OMG I cant believe ive made over 4000 countries borders and I never knew this ive been personally aligning every point.....
