i can't comment on this episode ... so instead i thought this took some actual thought and planning - Maybe a bit off topic.. guy who does this has a couple other 'match' burning vids-

Made me so sad that GoT has rushedly ended. The finale could have way better, but still, I'm satisfied, they did break the wheel

Season 8 was rushed

There's two scenes, on where Danny is seeing Jon Snow get all the praise for winterfell and another where Sam is deciding on who should be king where there are cups visible

No it was rushed and they know it, they took a 1 year hiatus to do this and I think everyone was tired from 9 years of filming they just wanted to end it, after 9 years you can lose drive and motivation to make it the best possible.

Well atleast i was partially right, Sansa indeed became the Queen. Such sad ending for Jon Snow, kinda misfit person.

Season suck, but this episode was good in my opinion. Could be better, but no reason to complain considering the alternative.

Why do you think it is degenerate?

I have problem only with transparent sex scenes, but just edit the episode before watching, problem solved. Also too much zombies for my taste, not really interesting in my part of the world(from what i understood via internet, zombies are really interesting in the West in the last 10-20 years, the show is western, so obviously they added it), but atleast they didn't show it frequently.

Overall good plot and setting in my opinion.

Do note that i am puritan fan of LOTR, so i must be against GoT, yet i try to stay objective

Literally just an episode to promote their planned 6 new fucking series, such a waste of time.

I liked how the unsullied and dorthraki were all out kill/no mercy vengefull mode yet they didnt kill tyrion and jon after their queen gets asasinated and turn peacefull lol

Anyone else noticed how GoT copied LOTR ending? Frodo had to leave Middle Earth because he wore the Ring - Jon Snow had to leave because he killed pretender to the throne, both did great things to save their continent, but both couldn't enjoy it afterwards

I guess if Jon Snow won the Iron Throne, that would again copy LOTR - since Aragorn as good guy and great warrior also got the throne xD

The only message I interpret from GoT is that Chaos is what guides the world. When you remove the teleology of cosmology and just assert that there is no inherent meaning to events in history, you are teaching a destructive and bad philosophy. It's just one damn thing happening after another, a depressing endless battle of different factions vying for might instead of history being made up of symbolic and sacramental events that are interconnected, directly due to God's providence. The sex scenes in it are a symptom of the views preached by the show. LOTR having the good ol' wholesome 'Good Guys Win' trope is what makes it enjoyable to someone like me, it's teaching truth. Basically, it's gay po-mo homo stuff for me. I find it difficult to watch shows I disagree with too much on a fundamental level.

You are correct, but it's not like we don't have historical examples for it? Like Onin War? Even showmakers depicted King Joffrey in GoT as more brutal than his contemporaries can fathom.

I would be against if the pattern of creating such show repeats, i would complain and not watch if future fantasy shows repeat same messages, but for now, i think it is ok to have 1 such show, let's how we keep it contained.

Yeah, I saw that video. Unfortunately, it is only downhill from here. Producers are perfectly fine with make-do CGI and awful script writing because they will make profit regardless. And if they can minimize their financial investment on the movie without any real losses, they will do it. I mean, all of us who watched previous seaons of game of thrones, I'm sure, watched all of season 8, right? The people who actually protest season 8 are vocal about it, but are only a minority of the viewer population. The vast majority of people who watched it, and moviegoers in general, are mindless idiots, and so they will create mindless, idiotic movies - majority rule I guess. More money is made that way, and it is easier production-wise, too.

Also, movies are getting shit nowadays anyway because to make money, you have to speak money, and today money speaks like liberal trash. The grammys were pathetic. Game of thrones was too with its feminist undertones. Fuck it all.

Yeah ik, just butthurt about Grey Worm being a ****.

It went downhill during season 4 after Martin and D&D stopped talking. Martin was more or less sacked from his writing position and D&D got more and more lazy with writing while pandering to twitter audiences. The last season really shows how lazy they were. Most scenes were set in similar places which meant less moving around and most dialogue took place in the same rooms. None of the character choices made much sense compared to what they used to do and no examples of character growth took place to justify these sudden changes. I've been 'hatewatching' it since season 6 but the Night King death took me by complete surprise. I never thought it would get THAT bad. It got so bad even its own twitter audience turned on the show. It was one of the worst endings to a show I have ever seen.
