We already have sid's one which everyone is cool with and uses the most.

What is that, 3 official public discord servers now? Seems inefficient.

I don't see the need as to why we need yet another discord server when we could just join an already existing atWar discord server?

Well it probably has to do with who runs the discords as to why they keep making new ones. Seems like an attempt as a form of control to me. Dave would be smartto just use sids at this point.

Yes, unfortunately we have lost admin access to it. As I understand it, the account that created the server was deleted, so even though Sid is mod of it, we have no way to do anything that would require admin-level access.

So we reluctantly made the decision to start over...

Like I said we lost admin-level access to the one you mentioned, so we decided to start over. This one I have admin access to so as long as I own atwar we won't have a problem again.

Server Creators always have the ultimate prerrogatives in a discord server management. For instance, If I create a server, and I put you in the same role as mine, I'm the only one who's able to remove you guys, at least up until recently, this used to be the case.

This Official Discord Server was much needed, to avoid instrumentalization of an official atwar discord server for whatever reasons. Besides, it's totally coherent that the Official AtWar Discord Server is owned by the Game admin, keep in-check by mods and coadjuvated by supporters, for instance

The discord I created isnt official, it uses language and banter that isnt exactly PC or mature. I think having an "official" one on the side is good for newer players who just want to make friends and play friendly games.

Sids one has never been official or at least i don't think he's ever claimed that. He and most players who actually use the voice chat feature just piled in there. So I'm sure you have nothing to worry about with his server ever clashing with yours.

Supporters need more permission on there, for example you should be able to hand out certain roles like premium and so on.

Their is a system in place that allows Discord Staff Members to assign the role "Premium", "Mapmaker" etc.
