To enhance our right, as map makers, to control our ban lists, we demand that we have the right to ban whoever we please for whatever reason.

Moderators have chosen to ignore our plea and have instead argued against our right to our property. With nothing but a circular argument-justification process, the moderators have chosen to keep the status quo...

But that is not good enough.

The map makers declare a strike. All maps of participating map makers will be taking down their maps until we receive further control over out own ban lists and our own property. We provided warning, and such permission does not even require admin approval, it just requires the moderators to say "yes". Therefore, such an action should be easy to fulfill, and actually requires less work than before.

This is a necessary action in order to get what we desire. We will settle with nothing less than complete autonomy over our maps and the ban lists they correspond with.

That is not even a logical response, they shouldn't have allowed us to ban people from anything but games we are participating in, banning people from your maps is dumb and is nothing but an ego trip. as I said on the other thread it has proven to be a catalyst for all this nonsense. People have abused it, and as with any abuse of 'rights' they should be taken away, not given more power.

Ban for whatever reason? No support . Map makers should have the right to ban given they have evidence that someone has broken rules, not merely because they feel like it. The map might have been made by you, but as long as atwar servers are being used to host the map, its the communities belonging as far as im concerned.

I will not go on strike! Feel free to play my maps and scenarios.

accidentally hit enter there. understand where map makers are coming from wanting to ban whoever they want it is there map and they put time into it if someone is known to be a troll or they just dont like a person the owner of the map should be able to ban. If the map maker wants to regulate his own maps let them. . only thing is you'll have some who doesnt know when to stop or get a bit over sensitive and go on a banning spree. over sensitivity is a really big problem in today society. mods should have some say in what happens not the final word but just to keep things from getting our of hand between players and map makers.
