Reasons Why AtWar is Dying:
-The professional players and cln's are leaving us. Ex. Dalmati
-HTML5 is taking effect. Everyone loves Silverlight so lets face it there aren't gonna be as many players.
-Decrease of growth in AtWar community.
-Lack of competition in games. Ex. No strategy required just mindless formulas and spamming.
-Steady population of low ranks and noobs.
-RP is discouraging many players from playing AtWar and draws only a select community. RP requires no strategy at all and professional players believe it is quite a waste of time. RP is simply way too simple and can only be one in one way with the exception of players who can survive being violently slaughtered by 100000 noobs like Schittzophrenic and K_Himmelreich.
-The noob population is NOT moving up very quickly. They often build alts and farm all day in beginners or build up an army of noobs to support them.
-Nowadays it takes even longer to start up a game.
-AtWar is becoming increasingly boring. It is starting to become to easy to win. Whats the point of winning anymore when victory is so close every time?

Solutions:
-Leave Silverlight ALONE. Tons of people don't want to use HTML5 and there will be a really bad amount of people leaving. To many players the implementation of HTML5 in AtWar to replace Silverlight is Armageddon.
-Revive strategy by implementing more complex strategies.
-Fix the RA Revamp because its the most useless strategy nowadays.
-Build up a better advertising system. (It will probably work out in the long run. more players=more premium money)
-Encourage noobs to use strategy before AtWar is overtaken by noobs.
-Rebuild the incentive of coalition wars.
-Rebuild the incentive of standard World and EU maps.
-Put a room just for RP. Solves all the political conflict in AtWar over RP unless RP gets too out of hand again.

I think this is the weirdest/most hilarious thing I ever read on Aw's forum. Congrats Diedra. Ok maybe it is second only to the Ponies thread http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=7766, but that one was more like weird/creeepy.
I guess when Sl will be closed, everyone will be on html5 and it will be fine then.

If it's too easy, well how come you aren't no1?

That was long ago,but true. I've met a lot of players that are leaving because of moderators, too. A partial solution is that moderator should play a more neutral role (not Anti-RP'ers, stop messing around with strategies, etc) in the community. As for the rest of leavers, we can't really pleasure everybody.

on a typical weeken evening on SL there would be 50 to 60 players in lobby in average,however now there is only 30 in both LS and HTML5 lobby combined,and most are in SL anyway.just use your brain

We have to move to HTML5 even if you like it or not , microsoft and everything supporting it will stop supporting it so by october-november this year it will be unusable and there is no other alternative except HTML5. If all the browsers and microsoft didnt do that everything wouldve been fine. Do you think admins created HTML5 because they wanted to ? zheesh , you all are acting like kids... I swear I told your ass before silverlight has been discontinued and most browsers are dropping it get your facts stright. There is no forsee able way to keep silver light it's a dead system.

Exact, Silverlight is not working at all for me anymore, so I cant play there and there is not enough games in html5. The split is killing the game for me, I bet I'm no the only one.... Luckily SL will close soon. Change is not easy, but it will be as much fun in the end, maybe even more!
