But when it comes to meat (usually holiday or some celebration), we cook(fry) it until we carbonize it...

This is a culinary heresy! Only meat-ignorant people burn meat. Don't waste your money on meat if you are going to burn it.

And btw. your comment on european cusine is over-simplistic.
You judging the cusine of one country as if it exists in a static culture with no influences from neigboring countries and even other regions. Don't forget that culture is fluid, specially if we observe it over a longer period of time.

I told above everyone except Italians, Greeks, French and Hungarians are food barbarians

But you try to tell italian, greek and hungarian housewives, hosts and grandmothers that their kitchen is influenced by other countries, see what happens

They are making same food for 1000 years, not changed at all, now of course you can buy variants of that food in the store, but be sure your grandmother don't see you eat it, you will regret it.

Italian pasta was inspired by chinese noodles... ofc. I prefer Italian pasta because it is made out of semolina (a type of wheat) and has tomato sauce and parmesan cheese Mhhhhmmmmhhh....

Hungarian dishes are linked to Austria aswell; don't forget the empire. Hungary has the better cooking and Austria kept the better baking! Besides, it has many influences from all over the balkan, specially in using paprika...

Greek cooking is Mediterranean cooking... actually it isn't the spiciest (not in hot spicy but in use of spices in general) cusine... there are more "develoiped" cusines in matters of using different spices... like of some "arabic" countries, countries in north africa (colonised at some point by "arabs") etc.

All european cusines are influenced to somewhat by the cookings, dishes, spices, etc. from the former colonies... or invaders at some time in history.

Just aknowledge tjhat the history of mankind is a history of migration (and cultural fluidity).

I say that for the last 2 years since MENA migration hype.

If food is spicy, it loses taste, so i think you won't find it in Europe as they try to make it tasty/delicious/sweet. Mexico and Japan are better known for spicy stuff.

I personally eat alot of Hungarian food, because it is 'heavy'. It is the only food good to maintain your energy. Meat and vegetables, but cooked in water, food juice and oil, not fried. I can't think of any other food to be more healthier, tasty and have enough 'energy' to be consumed, if you are miner, soldier, farmer, for all those heavy 'normal' jobs.

Since Stalin may still have some doubts about Spanish cuisine... I'll show him yet another typical spanish dish!

PAELLA!!!

This is not a dish from the northern part of Spain (atlantic coast), this is original from the mediterranean shores where people have their own rice cultivations. In the image you can see that it is served with seafood, and even if this is the most traditional recipe, you may see other variations of seafood being used and meat and/or vegetable paellas. This is yet another one of the internationally known dishes original from Spain. Need more, dear Stalin?

Sure thing KingJim, I actually love talking about food, it's one of my favourite pleasures in life (I hope you enjoy this one as well!)

Let's continue with a fact some people may not know, a curiosity. I'm sure most of you know what mayonnaise is, but I'm afraid most don't know it's true roots. The french are famous for exporting it to USA, where it became a huge thing. It's one of the most famous sauces probably. But it's real name is MAHONNAISE, with H, due to it's origin.

In this map you should notice Mahon, a little city in that little eastern isle located in the Balearic archipelago, Spain. This city gave it's name to that sauce, which was then discovered by a french general who had conquered this city in the 18th century and exported it to france. The recipe is quite easy as you might all know: eggs and olive oil! There are many theories surrounding it as it resembles a lot to another famous sauce around the Mediterranean called "Alioli" here. This sauce is made from garlic and olive oil and has its origin in ancient Egypt and was spread by the romans throught out most of the Mediterranean. Here we have a large tradition with Alioli as well, which could be the actual precedent for Mahonnaise. Some zones experimented with this sauce by adding other ingredients which led to the later production of mahonnaise.

This Alioli is used in some typical Spanish dishes including rice dishes and fideuà! In case anyone doesn't know what fideuà are, it's some sort of pasta noodle that resembles quite a lot to paella since it can be served with seafood, vegetables or meat although it can also be served with its soup. The same happens with Arroz Caldoso, a paella with its soup, another traditional way to serve it in the Mediterranean shores.

The pasta noodles (the whole inside makes them able to absorb tastes faster than normal rice)

Fideuà with vegetables

Arroz Caldoso (paella with its soup)

PS: I'll keep on posting since I enjoy talking about food quite much

Before we get into further discussion, remind me, how much have you actually cooked by yourself? I think you said you have barely ever cooked right?

And what do you know exactly about Spanish cuisines? I woulnd't be surpised if you didn't knew much by judging your words because European cuisine has been influenced influenced by other regions, specially with the species trading with east and with product importation from America. And Spain, same as France for example, has it's own original antique coisine in case you didn't know...

I never cooked. Never held a knife in my hand to cut a bread (or eat, lived in greece, they don't use knife), my society is right wing backward where women cook while men toil, like afghanistan.

I didn't say Spain doesn't have dishes or cuisine, just said it is not developed enough to join supermajors like French, Italian, Greek and Hungarian. Russian cuisine is plain and barbaric as well, i don't glorify my food, but you sound like i tell mine is best and your suck.

You're what people would call incultured, cuisine speaking. You've just proved you don't know shit about Spanish cuisine. I actually feel more offended with such sentence than if you insulted me personally or my family or my country XD I wish every single bar closes at your sight if you ever come to Spain!

Have you even taken the time to investigate?

Well, hungarian cuisine is very develop, yet they are not very cultured overall sort of speaking. That's not necessarily related.

But i still don't understand why you feel offended, i don't get offended when people say Russia have underdeveloped economy, so this is the same case, some countries have some life fields underdeveloped, that's life.

I've been to Spain, but Catalonia, so i didn't meet true spaniards but catalonians, i have catalonian flag, so they treated me nice and friendly. I tried their cuisine, but it was seaside, almost the same like greek which i've been eating for 5 years.

Dude.... Calatonia is Spain... catalonians are spanish... wth are you implying here?? Spain is not only Madrid... it's everything. Also, ALL MEDITERRANEAN FOOD IS RELATED due to historical facts such as it being ruled by a single empire, called Rome, in case you hadn't figured that out yet. That's something you should have known if you were that much into food. Anyway, you still don't know anything about Spanish food or else you wouldn't call it "underdeveloped"... and you're still not giving me any proof of Spanish food being bad. Now I feel like talking to a wall.

Sigh... the cultural differences and alien values... we can't never understand each other.

You still imply i trashtalk your food, while i just say it is not developed enough to reach development level of FIGH(franceitalygreecehungary) that doesn't mean spanish food is bad taste or barbaric, just not developed as others.

I said we say in common speech as a joke that all food except FIGH are barbaric because FIGH cuisines are very developed and influenced everyone around. Just because we make joke it is barbaric, doesn't mean you create fire with rocks and wear fur while living in a cave. If that's true then 1000 proles who said i am stupid and idiot must be right, because they say so.

Therefore i am not giving you 'proof that spanish food is bad' Don't look everything black and white.

So you just accept what "people" around you have told you about food (this common speech of yours)? I thought you to be smarter than this....

I accept it as a joke, copied it here as a joke, the very meaning is a joke, nothing more. If someone accept it as a truth, it means he didn't understand or have no humor.

Humor should be pretty easy to understand, but i guess our cultural difference and values are alien to us. We can never understand each other. So let's better stop the conversation, it's going nowhere.

There's a Spanish said which could be translated somewhat like this: Between joke and joke, the truth appears. Maybe you're right and I don't understand your humor but this doesn't sound like a joke to me:

But historically and traditionally, atleast when we speak for Europe, only 4 cuisines are recognized: Greek, Hungarian Italian, French

I invite you to check around in the internet about international european cuisine, you'll be shocked to see how much variety (and how much in common) there is and how those 4 cuisines are not that far away from each other in terms of the variety and quality. Athlantic countries share certain characteristics, just as mediterranean countries do while eastern countries share their own features as well. It's all a matter of what raw material do they have access to. I do know that frenchies invest more money on high level cuisine education, but that has nothing to do with their history and tradition since typical foods were invented decades or centuries ago and have been developed through our history.

OKEY, let's keep on sharing dishes. Next stop: TORTILLA ESPAÑOLA!

Also know as Spanish Omelettes in english/french. Why is it called Spanish? Because potatoes were first added around the 18th century in a little village located in Extremadura (a central-western autonomous community). The ingredients are easy: eggs and potatoes. More variants include adding other ingredients to the dish such as onions, pepper, cheese or cold meats (for example chorizo). Even if it may sound fairly simple, the variants can be endless and your imagination may find new ways to enjoy it. This is quite a typical dish served as a tapa (bar snack), a most notable tradition in southern Spain, or in "pinchos" (not sure how to mention them in English, I couldn't find a literal translation of it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pincho) which are very popular in northern parts of Spain.

A little history lesson: why didn't I include the internationally known as FRENCH OMELETTE?

Because it's is not actually french nor spanish. The concept dates back to the first Persian empire and spread around europe throught ancient rome. It eventually spread through some regions, including Spain, which developed its own variant, the "french omelette". French people developed their "omelettes" and italians developed their "frittata". There are native variants nearly all over the world, including most parts of the pre-columbian America and even as far as Japan. The spanish variant is tagged as "french omelette" by an English historian due to the huge popularity this specific omelette gained in Spain during certain wars against France and the resulting lack of food. This ancestor of the "Spanish omelette" is made only with eggs, no potatoes included.

See on one hand you French have great food. On the other, you eat snails.....

The mediterranean regions of Spain also eat snails and I personally eat them too they're tasty in their sauce and with alioli! You should try them, I recomend them

On topic of strange food, in Galicia there's some sort of "fish without jaws" that has 500 million years of existance. See picture below if you dare:

It's quite curious, it doesn't have a dorsal spine nor any bone at all. It possesses those tiny short teeths you see in the picture which funtion as a suction pad since they are parasistic creatures. This gives them extremely interesting culinary properties. Its meat is nothing similar to normal fish but still doesn't resemble to meat. It's harder than normal fish but tastier. Romans considered it a delicacy but many people nowadays consider it disgusting just because it's ugly (#foreveralone #tastematters). It is served both as a dish or as a stuffing for pie:

PS: I've tried it and I understand why it's considered a delicacy XD

Puranpoli

This dish is from my home state of Maharashtra (in the West), though it's also widely popular in other Western and Southern States, and some states of Eastern India.
It's made from flour stuffed with a paste of lentil and jaggery (unrefined cane sugar). The sweet flat bread is cooked on a tawa (pan) until brownish (varies, but usually golden-brown). Every Maharashtrian family has their own special recipe for Puranpoli and the preparation varies across different regions of the state.
It's like comfort food for kids, but is also popular with adults. Every special occasion in Maharashtra has this dish offered. It can be eaten plain, or with a variety of different side dishes, spread with ghee or butter, or even dipped. It's a lot like Chapati (roti) i.e flatbread, but a lot sweeter. Loved it as a kid, and still eat it, though only on special occasions. It's a traditional dish, goes back centuries. Oldest known recipe for it originates from the 12th Century.

That's fairly stereotypical, but not completely inaccurate. But what is more popular is what is called 'bhaaji'. I have no idea what the English term for it is, but it's what you get when you take a particular vegetable, or group of vegetables according to recipe which you're making the dish around, mix it with Masala, add some (optional, depending on dish) peas, panneer (cottage cheese), cauliflower etc
